Introduction

At WassermanUlitsky Dermatology we offer a number of chemical peels to treat various skin concerns. Chemical peels vary in depth, based on one’s specific needs. Chemical peels address a plethora of concerns including sun damage, fine lines, skin texture, acne and acne scarring, pore size, etc. Topical anesthetic is not necessary for this procedure. Downtime depends on the depth of the peel. Your medical provider will come up with a customized treatment plan unique to your needs.

Glycolic Acid Peel


Glycolic acid peel is an Alpha hydroxy acid peel that is obtained from sugarcane. It is used in various concentrations to help treat acne, acne scars, melasma, photoaging and other concerns.

Salicylic Acid Peel


Salicylic Acid Peel is a Beta hydroxy acid peel that is used in various concentrations to deeply exfoliate the surface layer of the skin. The acid is naturally found in willow bark and wintergreen leaves, and can also be made in the lab. It helps treat acne, photoaging, and improves appearance of pigment from sun damage.

Vitamin A Peel


Vitamin A peel is a retinoid peel that works by activating cell turnover. It exfoliates the damaged surface cells, helps to unclog pores, and improves pigmentation.

TCA Peel


Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels are amongst the most versatile peels, with a wide range of concentrations and depth of penetration. Depending on the depth, results vary from improving pigment and skin texture to improving deeper lines and wrinkles.
